The Bronze of Champions - Review

I'm just gonna admit it! I'm a huge lover of Benefit products and had my eye on this little gift set for awhile coming up to Christmas. Luckily enough I was gifted it by my brother who had obviously been paying attention or who had a bit of help from mother dearest with his shopping. Haha.

The best thing about these Benefit gift sets is that they give you decent sized sample versions of their full sized products - just enough to figure out if you'd like to re-purchase the full size version.

The Bronze of Champions set works perfect for both A/W and S/S. By mixing these products with products you already have, you can either create a warm smokey look perfect for the A/W period or you can create that fresh faced beachy, bronzed and dewy look for the S/S period.

So what's in it?

The gift set includes (as numbered above):
1. 'Bikini-tini' creaseless cream shadow & 'Thanks a latte!' long wear powder shadow.

2. 'Hoola' bronzer and mini applicator brush.

3. 'Watt's Up!' soft focus highlighter.

4. 'They're Real' mascara.

5. 'Hoola' lipgloss.

I'm honestly a huge fan of the entire gift set as a whole.
Both eyeshadows have quickly become part of my everyday eye-makeup combination, mixed with 'tease' and 'snakebite' from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. They give just enough shimmer and more importantly, they are long lasting!
I've been wanting to try out the 'Hoola' bronzer for awhile and now I can officially say I'm addicted. 100% re-purchasing when this sample size runs out. It's an amazing matte bronzer, perfect for contouring and I'd definitely recommend it!
I'd already been converted to the 'They're Real' mascara before I received this gift set. I find it gives my lashes great volume and the brush lends itself to such easy application on both the upper and lower lash line - really easy to get those awkward lashes that most other brushes can't reach.
'Watt's Up!' is a fantastic little highlighter, a great size for popping in your handbag or clutch on a night out to top up your make up. When used on the cheek and brow bones it really makes them pop!
I think the 'Hoola' lipgloss will be a great shade for the summer. It can both have quite a transparent glossy look, or when applied more heavily, it creates a more shimmery gold/nude look, perfect for the beach.

Have you purchased any of the products in this gift set?
What are your favourites?

If you're in search of some makeup essentials hopefully this review can point you in the right direction!

Until next time!
G.

p.s. Apologies for the photographs. I'm sure you can tell this gift set is already very loved. Haha.
