What's On My Face | Purple Haze (Makeup Look)

Hey Hey People!

Hope you all had a fab weekend! I spent mine celebrating Fathers Day & both my Brother and Boyfriend's birthdays. Hectic, I know! haha.

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen that I posted the picture above on Saturday morning & a lot of you seemed to like the makeup look, so I thought I'd pop up a blog post and tell you more about it!

I wore this look out to dinner with B, my Brother & his Gurlfriend on Friday night. My outfit wasn't too crazy (I wasn't wearing the outfit in this pic, FYI. haha), so I thought I'd go a little more mad with my makeup - not too mad I hope! I think you all know I'm a tad obsessed with purple eye makeup for Summer, so I couldn't not break out some purple shadows!

Before you ask, I was beyond tempted to swipe on a dark lip with this too - but I think I'll save that for another occasion. Instead, I opted to play it safe (boooo!) with my favourite pinky/nude shade from MAC - Creme Cup.

All of the shadows that I used were from an old Urban Decay palette I had lying around, proving that you don't constantly need to purchase new shadows if you've got perfectly fine little gems lying right under your nose! Save yo' pennies guys & gals!

I finished the look off with some super dramatic lashes, which are from MAC but I can't remember for the life of me what lashes they are - soz. If you want to recreate this look, just search for the longest fluttery lashes you can find. haha.

And here are all the lovely things I used to make this (^^^) happen!

Primer | The Porefessional - Benefit
Foundation | Perfection Lumiere Velvet (Beige 10) - Chanel
Concealer | FIT me! (15) - Maybelline & Radient Creamy Concealer (Chantilly) - NARS
Powder | Loose Sheer Setting Powder (Pale Yellow) - Bobbi Brown
Contour | Uninterrupted - MAC

Brow Powder | Browzings - Benefit
Eye Primer | Eyeshadow Primer Potion - UD
Shadows | Last Call, Psychedelic Sister & Rockstar - UD
Liner | Unsure of the brand but it's just a black kohl liner [I applied this all over the lid and the lower lash line and blended out, using it as a base for the purple shadows]
Mascara | Volume & Waterproof Mascara - Inglot
Lashes | MAC

Lipstick | Creme Cup - MAC
Lipgloss | Again, unsure of the brand but it's just a really soft pink shade

Hope you enjoy the look & let me know if you're gonna recreate it!

How do you feel about wearing coloured shadows?
Are you more of a neutral gal?

Let me know in the comments!

XO, G.
