Welcome To The 'They're Real' Family | New Products from Benefit

If you've checked out my post on, the wildness that was, the blogger launch of Benefit's 'They're Real Push-Up Liner'* you'll know that I was SUPER excited to get this little miracle pen liner home & give it a whirl!

Now ya'll know that I'm a huge Benefit fan (there are very few products of theirs that I don't like), so when you combine Benefit with another love of mine - eyeliner - you've got a very happy Grace!

I'm sure you're all fairly aware by now that the 'They're Real' Mascara* is the number 1 best selling  mascara in the UK and has won award on top of award for its lash enhancing skillzzz - so clearly Benefit wouldn't have released a product under the 'They're Real' name if they didn't think it was amazeballs.

^^ Side Note: This is the coolest little portable player that we were given at the launch - so we could take the ad campaign for the They're Real! Push-Up Liner* home with us... I thought it was pretty awesome.

What's so different about this liner , I hear ya say?

WELL... We've all had our experiences with pencil liners (that we have to pair constantly, ugh, effort), gel liner paint pots (that dry up and crack before you've even taken a brush to them), liquid liners (that you pretty much have to be a makeup artist to apply) and liquid liner pens (that seemed like a good idea at the time but dry out before you've gotten to your second eye).

But this beauty is the newest innovation of all - a gel liner... in a pen. WHAT!!

Not only is it a gel liner pen, but the applicator tip is also new to the liner world.

Benefit call it an 'AccuFlex Tip' - basically, this makes it BEYOND easy to get in super close to your lash line (so it sorts out that problem with the little part between your lashes that is impossible to get). And as the name suggests, it has a flexible rubber tip.. so it's not harsh on yo' skin!

What makes me most excited is the fact that you can go over the liner once it's been applied and it won't flake. Thank you God!! Also, the colour pay off is spot on - jet black, just the way I likes it!

Any down-side?

It does dry very quickly, so if you make a mistake it's a tad hard to fix - but in fairness, it's so easy to apply that mistakes should be few and far between after your first application (like any other, it will take time to get used to).

ALSO... if you've used the 'They're Real' Mascara* you'll know that it lasts all day (as does the new liner) but it's next to impossible to remove...
However... if you've looked at the picture above carefully, you'll see a little extra product in the back to help with this! ;)

'They're Real' Remover* - I havn't used this myself yet, but I've seen it in action at the event.. and dear God does it work wonders!! It's basically designed to strip down waterproof eye makeup and it does so in next to no time. You'll love this stuff if you're a fan of the mascara! It works and it works well!

So that's about all you need to know about the new releases!
If you're ready to click these new products to your cart already, you're unfortunately going to have to simmer down until their release in June and July respectively!

I've got big expectations for this stuff. I've seen it swatched and I've seen it applied on others, so I can't wait to get down to business and see how it compares to a liner that I havn't strayed from for 4/5 years!
Tough competition!

I'll be posting a makeup look next week using the new Push-Up Liner so you can see this stuff in action - so keep a look out for how I get on!

Are you going to be adding these new products to your 'They're Real!' family?
Let me know in the comments!!

Criminally Easy | Benefit Event

Happy Hump Day Lovelies!

Apologies about the lack of action on the blog yesterday, but if you follow me on Facebook or Twittah you'll know that I was a tad bit busy getting arrested and stuff...

Hold up, don't jump the gun. I didn't do anything illegal... but Benefit decided to arrest me for Assault & Flattery ;) This event, by far, was one of the biggest and best that I've attended yet - seriously, Benefit go hard!

So I decided to dedicate an entire post to the event itself... I couldn't not give you all a peek at what we got up to!

Just so ya'll know - the invitation for this event told us nothing about it. We were just told to show up at Dundrum Town Centre and wait for further instructions... ? So when this dashing individual greeted us blogging gals, we were pleasantly surprised and equally clueless as to what was happening. Haha.

Officer Handsome melted hearts as he read us our rights in his sweet, sweet American accent.. swoon! Nice choice Benefit - sweetening us up with some eye-candy before showing us new products. ;)

We were all marched outside, given our orange jumpsuits, cuffed and thrown in Bene-jail!

And this is kinda how the rest of the night played out...

The fab.u.lous Mark gave us a little demo of how the new 'they're Real push-up liner' works.

I'm sure by now all of you have heard of the new gel pen liner that Benefit are releasing next month - I'm a huge Benefit gurl and I love my eyeliner, so this little miracle pen makes me vurrry excited!

A blog post on this liner will make an appearance later on in the week, so keep yo' eyeballs peeled!

^^ Benefit Loot? I mean come on! ^^

Between handcuffs, prison jumpsuits, bags of loot, officers and an entire truck made up to look like a prison cell, this Benefit event had it goin' on!

^^ These were our stylin' jumpsuits! Orange is the new black dontcha know? ^^

Here are a few snaps of the Benefit MUA's applying 'they're Real push-up liner' on Nirina!

And that's a wrap fella's & feline's!

I'm pretty sure you can tell this was a currazy fun event! Hope you've enjoyed the snaps!
Can't wait to show you all how the product works!

Are any of you a huge Benefit fan like me?
Are you excited for the launch of 'they're Real push-up liner'?

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

Hey people!

Today I'm coming at ya with a peek into my travel makeup bag. I'm right in the middle of packing for a quick trip over the water to England on Wednesday and thought I'd share what made it in to my travel bag while I was at it!

I'm sure you're all well aware that you have to be super strategic these days when traveling, so the majority of your most loved makeup products will likely have to take the back seat - something that I find extremely difficult as a self proclaimed over-packer of makeup.

BASE
I popped in Benefit's The Porefessional - a fool proof way to keep everythang where it's supposed to be, essential when travelling. This was quickly followed by Chanel's Perfection Lumiere Velvet - I know it, I love it, say no more. Dark circles and blemishes vanish with the help of NARS Radient Creamy Concealer - a god send if you've got an early morning flight! This is all set with Bobbi Brown's Sheer Finish Loose Powder and I threw in just the one blush from Bobbi Brown, 'Rose Clay' as it goes with everything. If you've noticed the lack of bronzer, I'll be picking up a new stash while I'm over there and didn't want to be lugging a half empty container with me!

EYES
Moving on to my eyeballs, I've packed Benefit's Brow zings - it has everything you need to tame your brows (wax, powder, 2 travel size brushes and a mini set of tweezers that I heart). I can't put on shadows without using UD's Primer Potion, so in it goes. Then for the most travel friendly palette in the world, UD's NAKED BASICS. It's super slim and includes enough shadows to take you from day to night. A bit unnecessary, but I also popped in MAC's Woodwinked just incase I want to change up my look a tiny bit. Lastly, my pencil liner, liquid liner and mascara - all essentials in my eyes (get it? tee hee).

LIPS
I've whittled my lip products down to just two - the hardest thing in the world for a lipstick addict, don't judge me. I've taken MAC'S Creme Cup - it's pink, it's neutral, it goes with everything - and Kate Moss x Rimmel's lipstick in 110 - it's coral and all things summery! Of course I'll be sticking some form of a balm in my handbag too!

REMEMBER!

  1. When traveling, palettes are your best friends! You don't want to be lugging around 6 single eyeshadows, so save yourself the space and the hassle!
  2. If you can, remember to take products that are multifunctional - i.e. A lip product that also acts as a blush. I'm leaving behind my much loved Soft and Gentle highlight from MAC and opting to use an shadow highlight instead - same diff!

Have you got any tips for packing makeup?
Sound off in the comments below and have a great week!

XO, G.

What's On My Face | Ultra Violet (Makeup Look)

Happy Friday People!

I'm off on a little trip down the country today - himself has a bitta golf business to attend to, so I thought I'd tag along. Honestly, I'm really just looking for an excuse to stuff my face with the chicken wings in Avenue Cafe, but sshhh.. - haha.
Anyway, getting to the point, I thought I'd share all the makeup I've slapped on my face today!

I tweeted a few days ago about rediscovering my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Ransom' which is a super vibrant metallic purple! I'm not even sure if they still stock this shade - but such is life! I'd been wanting to introduce a little more colour into my makeup looks for awhile now without doing a typical and obvious bold lip...

... WELL HELLO ANSWER TO MY PROBLEMS!! This stuff is some creamy magical goodness in eyeliner form.

As you can tell from the snaps of my face, I kinda let the purple liner speak for itself, using bronze tones to compliment it. Summer has finally grace'd us sun deprived individuals here in Ireland with it's presence, so I've cracked out the self tanner and committed myself to attempting to achieve the bronzed goddess look. haha.

Some of you were also asking to see a makeup look using MAC's 'Woodwinked' after I featured it in a haul last week - so here ya go lovelies! I thought the antique-y bronze shade toned down the purple enough to make it not look like a cray 80's / 90s throwback!

I threw on a few strip lashes and wham, bam, thank ya ma'am - there you have todays makeup look!

Here's a product list of the things I put on my face today!

BASE
Primer - The Porefessional | Benefit
Foundation - Perfection Lumiere Velvet (Beige 10) & Vitalumiere Aqua (Beige 20) Mixed | Chanel
Concealer - Radient Creamy Concealer (Chantilly) | NARS
Powders - Sheer Finish Loose Powder (Pale Yellow) | Bobbi Brown & Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (Dark) | MAC (Used Sparingly)

EYES
Brow Powder - Brow zings (Light) | Benefit
Primer - Primer Potion (Eden) | Urban Decay
Shadows - W.O.S | UD, Woodwinked | MAC, Faint | UD
Liner - 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (Ransom) | UD
Mascara - Scandaleyes Retro Glam | Rimmel
False Lashes - MAC (Applied w/ DUO Adhesive)

LIPS
Lipstick - Frou | MAC
Lipgloss - Hoola | Benefit

And there ya have it friends! Hope you enjoyed this little switch up! Have a great weekend!

Are any of you a fan of coloured liners?
Do you have any of the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils?

Glossybox | Unboxing The Superdrug Collab Box & Why I Cancelled My Subscription!

Waddup Bloggers!

If you've been following my blog for the last few months, you'll know that back in March I subscribed to Glossybox after watching a few unboxings on YouTube, so yanno... I wanted to see what all the fuss was about! If you wanna check out my first unboxing, click here! Unfortunately, there wasn't much to rave about in last months box. If I'm honest, it kinda sucked - the most exciting product was some Hi-She tan but the rest kinda left me feeling a bit meh - so I decided to give that unboxing post a miss!

For their May Box, Glossybox collaborated with Superdrug to celebrate their 50th burrthday, and with that came some pretty decent goodies... all wrapped up in a very purrdy box, as per!

This month, I'm a lot happier with the products that Mr. Postman delivered! Although I know I won't get use out of all of them - let's face it, it's inevitable - the products that I do like are full sized, so I can't complain!

"Tell me whatcha got goddammitt!" I hear you say... well I landed me some;

- French Manicure False Nails in American Girl Pink from Elegant Touch
- Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara from Rimmel London
- Velvet Smooth Overnight Foot Mask from Scholl
- BB Cream Original from Garnier
- Sheer Conditioning Lipstick from B.

And the bonus product - Oil Beauty Lotion from Garnier

With Glossybox, it's a bit of a shot in the dark as to whether you're actually gonna enjoy the products that you get each month. After 3 months, I have to confess, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with them.

I thought my first box was freekin' fantastic, I literally couldn't give it enough praise - but looking back, I think I got a bit caught up in the excitement of a pretty package, actually getting a delivery that was for me and not my parents (haha) and the look of new products starin' me right in the face!

Although this months box is the best that I've got to date (I lahhve Rimmel's mascaras & I'm up for trying up the BB Cream and Foot Mask), I decided to cancel my rolling subscription this morning.

Whyyyyy you ask? ...

It might just be me being an oddball - but after shipping, my monthly Glossybox ends up costing me around €16, which is more dollah than I'm happy to depart with on products that I'm not sure I'm gonna like!
Glossybox is a winner when it comes to introducing you to new brands/products, I found its delivery time to be quite good and it's packaging is adorbs - but I think I'd rather put €16 towards one of the goodies on my wish list! Who knows.. maybe I'll eat my words and renew my subscription one day!

If you're subscribed to Glossybox, I'd love to hear what you think about it, so do sound off in the comments so we can chit chat!

XO, G.

Arm Candy | Ingenious Jewellery

If you know me, you'll know I've got a HUGE weakness for stacking dainty bracelets, so when I came across all of the Ingenious arm candy in Rapport, Dundalk (for those of you in Ireland) I started to have slight heart palpitations. Not really, but I was super excited!

After trying on half of the collection, I settled on these 3 beauties that, I must admit, I loved even more when I opened the box to shoot them this morning. They're perfect for Summer (aka, they'll look fab with my false tan. haha) and I'll be able to mix and match them with a few of the other pieces that I already have! #Winning

First I picked up the Gold Plated Filigree Hand of God bracelet - I love the double chain on this one! It adds a little extra detail when stacking!

Then I got my mitts on the Gold Plated Round Evil Eye bracelet - I'm a bit obsessed with evil eye bracelets at the minute. I'm sure you've seen my Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet a gazillion times in different snaps on the blog. Can we just take a minute for for tiny little blue stones in this bracelet though? They stand out a lot more in person than they do in this picture but I heart them!

Lastly I bagged the Black Beaded Bracelet with tiny hanging charms - it pretty much combines the two previous bracelets into one, so naturally, I couldn't not get it!

If you're interested in picking up these babies for yourself, they're available in gold, silver and rose gold on the Ingenious Website! Or if you're in the area, pop into Rapport in Dundalk, Co. Louth!

I've gotta get my hands on the necklaces next! All about the layering!

XO, G

P.S - If you havn't already, check out my SUMMER GIVEAWAY for your chance to win products from Benefit, Cocoa Brown Tan & Rimmel | Open to Ireland & the UK!

LUSH | Summer 2014 Collection

Waddup Bloggers!
If you follow me on Facebook / Twitter you'll know that last week I took a trip to Lush, Dublin to the launch of their new collection for Summer 2014. After testing all the products, I came home smelling faboosh & the back of my hands felt as soft as a baby's bottom! haha. Let's face it, clearly I'm not gonna keep all of the LUSHiousness (get it? haha) to myself, so here's a little peek at the new collection* for all you Lush fans... as well as a few snaps from the launch!

D'FLUFF STRAWBERRY SHAVING SOAP

This lovely lookin' stuff is a fluffy shaving cream made with fresh strawberries (yes, fresh!!), coconut oil, maple and corn syrups and egg whites - It looks just like marshmallow fluff, therefore it makes me happy! I used this at the weekend to prep my legs before hitting the town. You just apply it to damp skin and shave, rinsing the blade frequently - you can also use it as a body wash. I found it a little difficult to lather up, but it did leave my legs feelin' silky smooth!

ZEST HAIR GELLY

Before I tell you about this product, you've gotta see it in action!
FLUBBER!!

This is a crazy fun product if you're either a guy that loves his hair gel or a gal looking to recreate the slicked back looks of the runway or simply to tame those pesky fly-aways! It's a self-preserving orangey hair jelly that, let's face it, gives both your mood and your hair a boost! The lovely peeps at Lush tell me it's been inspired by punks using sugar to create mohawks - the sugar in the orange juice boosts the holding power of the hair jelly (FACT OF THE DAY!)

You tap it out of the pot, rub it in your hands to lightly coat. Pop it back in the pot and smooth your palms over your hair to create a look that will last all day! Not sure if I can see myself using this on a daily basis - but it sounds perfect if you wanna make a statement with your hair.

SOAPS | MANGNIFICENT & PARSLEY PORRIDGE

First off, I'm not much of a solid soap gal, but these would be FAB for night of pampering in a bubble bath!

Mangnificent Soap is a ripe and juicy mango soap with uplifting lemon, mandarin and neroli oils. It's full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants - aka. the perfect soap for when you're feelin' sluggish!

Parsley Porridge Soap is a herbal soap with detoxifying parsley, antibacterial tea tree and milky oatmeal! This sounds like it's gonna be a life saver for me and my oily skin (raise your hands my fellow oily skinned ladies!) It's kinda the perfect combo of bacteria busting and deep cleansing!

GRANNY TAKES A DIP BATH BOMB

Pop Quiz! What's the first thing you think of when you hear the word Lush? Bath Bombs? Yup!

This multi-coloured bath bomb is Lush's newest innovation. I heart the inspiration behind this one! The ballistic takes its name from the Purple Gang's song 'Granny Takes a Trip' and the 1960s clothing boutique on King's Road. If you look closely, you'll also note that the colour matches the jackets worn by the Beatles on the Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album!

It's got an uplifting, spicy citrus scent and will leave psychedelic swirls of foaming colour across your bathwater! All the fun at bath time!!

AFRICAN PARADISE BODY CONDITIONER

This is BY FAR my favourite product from the new collection.
I can't explain just how good this stuff  smells & makes your skin feel! This little piece of paradise is an in-shower body conditioner packed with African oils, butters and fruits. It's self-preserving and FULL of ingredients from SLush Funded projects in Africa - a little does a lot of good! I also used this at the weekend to get my pins Summer ready. It's so easy to use - after washing, apply it to damp skin in the shower and lightly rise. It leaves your skin feelin' soft and silky all day. Once you apply it, the scent deepens which I love! If you were to get one product from the Summer Collection, I'd totally recommend this beauty!

And that's about it you guys!
If you're in search of some yummy things for your skin, don't forget to pop into your local Lush store or hop on over to their website - www.lush.co.uk

P.S. - If you've made it to the end of this post, don't forget to enter my SUMMER GIVEAWAY to win products from Benefit, Cocoa Brown Tan, Rimmel & More!!
