Glossybox | Unboxing The Superdrug Collab Box & Why I Cancelled My Subscription!

Waddup Bloggers!

If you've been following my blog for the last few months, you'll know that back in March I subscribed to Glossybox after watching a few unboxings on YouTube, so yanno... I wanted to see what all the fuss was about! If you wanna check out my first unboxing, click here! Unfortunately, there wasn't much to rave about in last months box. If I'm honest, it kinda sucked - the most exciting product was some Hi-She tan but the rest kinda left me feeling a bit meh - so I decided to give that unboxing post a miss!

For their May Box, Glossybox collaborated with Superdrug to celebrate their 50th burrthday, and with that came some pretty decent goodies... all wrapped up in a very purrdy box, as per!

This month, I'm a lot happier with the products that Mr. Postman delivered! Although I know I won't get use out of all of them - let's face it, it's inevitable - the products that I do like are full sized, so I can't complain!

"Tell me whatcha got goddammitt!" I hear you say... well I landed me some;

- French Manicure False Nails in American Girl Pink from Elegant Touch
- Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara from Rimmel London
- Velvet Smooth Overnight Foot Mask from Scholl
- BB Cream Original from Garnier
- Sheer Conditioning Lipstick from B.

And the bonus product - Oil Beauty Lotion from Garnier

With Glossybox, it's a bit of a shot in the dark as to whether you're actually gonna enjoy the products that you get each month. After 3 months, I have to confess, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with them.

I thought my first box was freekin' fantastic, I literally couldn't give it enough praise - but looking back, I think I got a bit caught up in the excitement of a pretty package, actually getting a delivery that was for me and not my parents (haha) and the look of new products starin' me right in the face!

Although this months box is the best that I've got to date (I lahhve Rimmel's mascaras & I'm up for trying up the BB Cream and Foot Mask), I decided to cancel my rolling subscription this morning.

Whyyyyy you ask? ...

It might just be me being an oddball - but after shipping, my monthly Glossybox ends up costing me around €16, which is more dollah than I'm happy to depart with on products that I'm not sure I'm gonna like!
Glossybox is a winner when it comes to introducing you to new brands/products, I found its delivery time to be quite good and it's packaging is adorbs - but I think I'd rather put €16 towards one of the goodies on my wish list! Who knows.. maybe I'll eat my words and renew my subscription one day!

If you're subscribed to Glossybox, I'd love to hear what you think about it, so do sound off in the comments so we can chit chat!

XO, G.
